Indonesian nolimite – LinkedIn officially launched Mini Sudoku, a new light game specifically designed for its users. This puzzle game comes as a new strategy LinkedIn to increase user involvement and retention on the largest professional platform in the world.
What is LinkedIn Mini Sudoku?
Mini Sudoku is a simple version of classic Sudoku. If you are usually played with a 9 × 9 grid, the LinkedIn version only uses 6 × 6 grids. This design makes the puzzle can be completed in just 2-3 minutes, making it suitable for users with a busy schedule.
LinkedIn says that Mini Sudoku is not just entertainment. This game was made to give a short pause, practice concentration, while keeping users active in the platform ecosystem.
“We don’t want people to spend 20 minutes just for one puzzle. Mini Sudoku is a short short entertainment, but still training the brain,” said one of the executives of LinkedIn.

Who is behind the mini sudoku?
To present an interesting play experience, LinkedIn cooperates with Nikoli, a Japanese puzzle publisher who is famous as the creator of modern Sudoku, and Thomas Snyder, world champion Sudoku three times.
This collaboration produces a game that remains challenging but not too complex. The level of difficulty also increases gradually every day in one week, so users have a reason to return to play.
Part of the light game strategy LinkedIn
Mini Sudoku is not the only puzzle present on this platform. Since the beginning of the year, LinkedIn has launched a number of light games to strengthen user interaction. Company internal data shows positive results:
- 86% of players who try the LinkedIn game will return to play the next day.
- 82% of users continue to play the following week.
- Generation Z is the most active group playing this game.
These statistics prove that casual games can be an effective strategy for LinkedIn in maintaining users, especially among young people.
LinkedIn is no longer just a matter of work
The presence of Mini Sudoku shows a new direction for LinkedIn. This platform is now not only space to find work, build connections, or share professional content, but also a place for productive short entertainment.
In the midst of competition with other social media that focuses on pure entertainment content, LinkedIn chooses a unique way: presenting a simple game, quickly played, but still in harmony with the professional user character.
